CCC offers training in preparedness

Clatsop Community College will offer a training course to help local agencies and interested citizens learn about the National Incident Management System, or NIMS.
This course will be offered from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Astoria CCC campus Nov. 16, and at the Seaside campus Nov. 17.
This course meets the requirements of Federal Emergency Management Administration course Incident Command System (ICS)-200. Prerequisites for this course are successful completion of ICS-700 and IS-100. A copy of the certificate is required.
ICS-200 is recommended for any public/private sector employee who is required to have NIMS training. Such training is also required to maintain agency eligibility for disaster preparedness grants from the federal government.
