The U. S. Small Business Administration’s Oregon office announced that small businesses have until Sept. 19 to apply for an SBA Economic Injury Disaster Loan. These loans are available to small businesses for working capital needs as a result of the severe winter storm and flooding in Tillamook County that occurred Nov. 2 to 8, 2006.
Small businesses in Tillamook, Clatsop, Columbia, Lincoln, Polk, Washington and Yamill counties are eligible to apply for the loans. EIDL assistance is available regardless of whether the business suffered any property damage. The loans can be used to pay fixed debts, payroll, accounts payable and other bills that can’t be paid because of the disaster’s impact.
Business owners may receive information and loan applications by calling the SBA at (800) 659-2955 or by going to (www.sba.gov/services /disasterassistance/)
