In One Ear: Astoria’s fireworks spark Web watchers

Jaeson Koszarsky, in State College, Pa., who often writes article comments on The Daily Astorian Web site (www.dailyastorian.com), wrote in about Astoria’s fireworks, of all things.
He wrote, “We enjoyed the fireworks show in State College this year at Penn State and later in the evening we watched the fireworks in Astoria via the Columbia River Maritime Museum webcam, a great front row seat.”
The Ear missed the fireworks this year due to the antics of a terrified and unsuccessfully tranquilized 120 pound wall-crawling, woodwork-gnawing canine. Watching the fireworks on the Museum’s webcam would have been a great alternative to missing them.
