Highway 202 closure begins Thursday

Oregon Highway 202 will be closed starting at 5 a.m. Thursday and will reopen Friday evening. A contractor for the Oregon Department of Transportation will be replacing a culvert at milepost 5.38.

Washington roadworkThis week, the Washington State Department of Transportation will be working on highways in Pacific and Wahkiakum counties. U.S. Highway 101 will be paved, beginning at the Astoria Bridge, proceeding northwest to Ilwaco, Wash., then northeast where it intersects with Washington State Route 4.
Additional improvements will be made to State Route 4 in Wahkiakum County such as pavement resurfacing, guardrail and sign replacements where needed, and pavement work. SR 401 will be resurfaced in Pacific County.
There will be daytime single lane and shoulder closures for the duration of the project.
The existing signal at the intersection of U.S. Highway 101 and SR 100 in Ilwaco will also be replaced. A new signal will be installed at the intersection of Highway 101 and Sandridge Road.
