Sandra Swain, of Astoria, and Juan Robert Swain, M.D., of Knoxville, Tenn., announce the engagement of their daughter, Chloe Catherine Swain, of Burien, Wash., to Peter Bjordahl, of Burien. He is the son of Rod Bjordahl, M.D., of Maui, Hawaii, and Penny Porcelli-Nerli, of Lowell, Mich.

The bride-to-be graduated from Astoria High School in 1993 and from the University of Oregon in 1997. She is international project manager for Screenlife Games in Seattle.

The prospective groom is owner of The GSD Group, an environmental media design firm in Seattle. He is a graduate of the University of Washington.

An August wedding is planned.
