WARRENTON – The Warrenton Dog Park Fund is an all-volunteer group working to develop an off-leash dog park in Warrenton. The Warrenton Parks Advisory Board and the Warrenton City Commission have approved the plan and siting at Eben H. Carruthers Memorial Park.
The dog park will cost less than $10,000 to develop, and the goal is to start construction this spring and have the park completed by summer.
In addition to being on the Warrenton Trails Association route, a few of the user-friendly features of park will be: a secure, enclosed, two-thirds of an acre park with 5-foot chain link fencing; an enclosed, cemented dog wash; pet waste stations; park benches; restrooms; easy access parking; and wheelchair accessibility.
Contributions can be made by check to: Warrenton Trails Association, P.O. Box 969, Warrenton, OR 97146. The memo line should indicate the check is for Warrenton Dog Park. Donations may also be given online at www.warrentontrails .org?contribute.htm
