Astoria Parks and Community Services Department will be offering dance classes at the Astoria Yacht Club in May.

Ballroom and Latin dance classes will be available for beginner to intermediate levels from 6 to 7 p.m. Wednesdays, May 7, 14, 21 and 28. Dancers will learn a few of the following dances in each four-week session: waltz, fox trot or tango, mambo, cha-cha, rumba or others, based on class interest. The cost of the class is $25.

West Coast Swing patterns and technique will be taught at class level from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesdays, May 7, 14, 21 and 28. Students can sign up individually or with a partner. The cost is $25.

Preregistration is required for both classes, and classes will be canceled if minimum enrollment is not met. For information or to register, call 325-7275.
