SEASIDE – The Sunset Empire Parks and Recreation Department is offering a Basic Watsu 16 Hour Course from 9 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the Sunset Pool, 1140 Broadway Drive, in Seaside. The word Watsu is a combination of the words “water” and “Shiatsu,” and is a form of aquatic bodywork.

Mark Covell from Hilo, Hawaii, is the instructor. The cost is $250, with a $100 deposit due prior to class.

One-hour sessions of Watsu are available by appointment between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday. The cost is $60 with a resident’s card and $75 for nonresidents.
