OYSTERVILLE, Wash. – A dead body was found Thursday lying next to a vehicle near the Oysterville beach approach on the Long Beach Peninsula.
Deputies with the Pacific County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call reporting the body at 8:16 a.m. Thursday.
The vehicle was apparently stuck in the sand, and the body was located nearby, according to a press release issued Friday. The Sheriff’s office is still investigating the identity of the dead person and the manner of death.
The Pacific County Coroner had scheduled to perform an autopsy Saturday. Results have not been released.
