Movie to benefit animal shelter

A movie documenting efforts to save pets after Hurricane Katrina will benefit homeless animals in Clatsop County.

“Dark Water Rising: Survival Stories of Hurricane Katrina Animal Rescues” will show at 4 and 7 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the Columbian Theater, 1102 Marine Drive. Admission is $8 per person. Proceeds will benefit the Clatsop County Animal Shelter, which will have an adoptable dog at the Sunday afternoon show.
