Seasurf Internet undergoes change in ownership

Seasurf Internet, of Seaside, recently sold to a Beaverton Internet service provider.

Former owner Don Gach signed closing papers on July 28, according to Scott Pilcher, Internet Partners Inc., vice president.

Internet Partners is one of the leading Internet service providers in the Portland metro area, with a primary focus on high-bandwidth commercial Internet users, complex multi-site wide area network (WAN) servicing and dialup Internet access.

The change in ownership “shouldn’t affect local service, other than that it’s our goal to improve services,” said Pilcher. Other services offered by Seasurf include web hosting and business email hosting, he noted.

Pilcher and other Beaverton employees will divide their time between the Willamette Valley and Seaside. “It only takes about an hour to drive from Beaverton to the Coast,” he said. “It can take that long to drive across Portland, and the scenery isn’t half as nice.”
