It’s really nice to see the Warrenton ball fields getting a face lift, and that all the fields have dugouts now. (“Volunteers catch baseball fever,” The Daily Astorian, April 28).

Back when I played ball there (in my teens) all we had were benches to sit on. My son now plays ball so it’s nice to see that they have dugouts with fences in front of them for protection. I’m also glad to see that the parking lot finally got paved. Just don’t forget those bathrooms, they need fixing too. And, although it’s nice to see a scoreboard, we need adults working it and not kids, who are more interested in the concession stand than the game.
To all of you volunteers, keep the good work up on fixing the fields. It’s great to see it being done, the kids deserve it.
