CATHLAMET, Wash. – The Willapa Hills Audubon Society will be presenting a shorebird lecture and field trip Saturday and Sunday.
Join Andrew Emlen at 7 p.m. Saturday in the River Room at Tugboat Alley in Cathlamet for a presentation on shorebird identification and information on their behavior and conservation.
Identification tips and skills will be reinforced in the field at 8 a.m. Sunday at the Skamokawa Center, 1391 W. State Route 4. The group will visit different types of habitat along the coast in hopes of finding a high diversity of migrating shorebirds. Bring a lunch and footwear suitable for a mudflat. Anyone interested only in the field trip or lecture is welcome to come for just one.
