When you visit Seymour’s Pizza & More in Long Beach, WA, you’ll be greeted by the restaurant’s namesake, a 10-inch Red Eared Slider turtle.

Seymour’s is the newest eatery started by Portland transplant Marella Goecks and her husband, Mathw Karcher.

Goecks said the couple chose Long Beach for their restaurant because of the area’s beauty. “We drove up here on a gorgeous day and fell in love with the area,” she said.

The restaurant’s menu includes at least 15 varieties of pizza, all made from Goecks’ own recipe. Sandwiches and salads fill out the menu.

The restaurant, decorated in a turtle motif, has banquet facilities for up to 100. Reservations for large groups are required.

Seymour’s Pizza & More is located at 1515 N. Pacific Ave. Hours are Thursday-Saturday 11:30a.m.-9p.m., and Sunday-Tuesday 4:30p.m.-9p.m. The restaurant is closed Wednesdays. Deliveries and take out can be ordered by calling (360) 642-7777.
