The Oregon Department of Forestry reports that visitors to Lost Lake in southeast Clatsop County will need to access the lake from U.S. Highway 26 – and not from Henry Rierson Spruce Run Campground – at least until Thanksgiving.

Recent rain and road construction have made the road unsafe and ODF has closed public access to the lake from Spruce Run Campground, foresters say.

Lost Lake is still accessible from Highway 26 at Quartz Creek Road. The campground remains open.
