CANNON BEACH – Nationally acclaimed artist Will Bullas will showcase his amusing and whimsical works Friday and Saturday, Aug. 19 and 20, at Ernst & Ernst Collector’s Gallery, 224 N. Hemlock St. in Cannon Beach.

Bullas’ works include limited edition fine art prints, porcelain, pearl bisque, books and numerous gift items. He combines award-winning watercolor master skill, unusual instruments such as sponges, toothbrushes and masking tape and an uncanny wit to bring visually interpreted one-liners into reality.

“We’re always delighted to have Will join us here at our gallery,” said Don Seybold, owner of Ernst & Ernst Collector’s Gallery. “His works are humorous, fun and extremely creative. Beyond the amusing, Will also has a great concern for the environment. While most folks associate him with his classic whimsical paintings, he also has a very serious side, having produced many works that depict wildlife and endangered species.”

An Ohio native, Bullas’ first professional pieces were pencil portraits of fellow soldiers with whom he served in Vietnam. Returning from military duty, Bullas graduated from the Brooks Institute of Fine Art in Santa Barbara, Calif., with a degree in oil painting. He and his wife, Claudia, live in San Francisco.
