Manzanita – The Hoffman Center Board of Directors is refining ideas for the design and functions of the facility its members believe will become a key cultural center for North Tillamook County.

“We had two very productive public meetings late last year at which many local and part-time residents shared their visions for how the Hoffman Center could serve the community,” said board president Stewart Martin. “In a few weeks we will be reaching out to many of those same people, as well as others, and asking them to join one of our working committees.”

The committees will include Funding and Development, Programs, Building Design, Volunteer Coordination and Publicity/Promotion.

The Programs Committee will develop courses, events and activities for the Center, and encourage other groups to host, sponsor or conduct them. The Building Design Committee will determine how the new facility can accommodate the various functions and programs envisioned for the Center.

Questions and suggestions for the Hoffman Center can be sent to the board at (503) 368-3846, (hoffmancenter@nehalemtel.net) or via (www.hoffmancenter.info). Mailing address is P.O. Box 678, Manzanita, OR 97130.
