Charlotte Ann Davis

Former resident, 82Charlotte Ann Davis, 82, formerly of Astoria, died March 9, 2005 at Woodside Nursing Center in San Luis Obispo, Calif., after a short illness.

Mrs. Davis was born Feb. 20, 1923, the ninth child of Jim and Mary (Beck) McNeil.

After graduating high school in Atascadero, Calif., she married William Fennell. They had two children, Pat and Janet.

In 1949, Mrs. Davis moved to the San Francisco Bay area and married Jack E. Davis. They had three children, Teri, Mike and Tim. Mr. Davis died in 1995.

Mrs. Davis served on the board of the Clatsop County Chapter of the American Diabetes Association and volunteered at Columbia Memorial Hospital for many years.

Mrs. Davis is survived by five children, Pat Fennell, Janet Land, Teri Kirkpatrick and Mike and Tim Davis.; 17 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Her family will scatter her ashes at a private ceremony Saturday.
