In addition to Vino Manzanita, the Columbia-Pacific region counts three more wine bars. The Cannery Cafe Bar (No. 1 Sixth St., Astoria, (503) 325-8642, www.cannerycafe.com) is perched on a pier over the Columbia River, just next door to the regular restaurant. The Vintner’s Room (inside the Hotel Elliott at 357 12th St., Astoria, (503) 325-3500) affords a subterranean setting for multiple pours and sips, plus fruit and cheese trays. Patrons can puff away in the adjacent (but segregated) Havana Room cigar lounge. Newest kid on the block is Silver Salmon Cellars (1105 Commercial St., Astoria, (503) 338-6640, www.silversalmoncellars.com), the latest venture of Jeff and Laurie Martin, owners of the adjacent Silver Salmon Grille.
