Astoria Visual Arts announces the “Beer for Rent” fundraiser to benefit the AVA Gallery. The fundraiser will feature a silent auction for artwork, a raffle for a set of four artist prints and a lot of good food, beer and wine. Here’s how it works: Come drink beer (or wine, or coffee), bid on artwork, mingle with great people and help the AVA Gallery raise money for rent and other overhead expenses that the nonprofit gallery incurs.

AVA Gallery is one of many Astoria Visual Arts projects. The AVA Gallery is a nonprofit art gallery that shows artwork by new and emerging artists, as well as established artists that create work outside the mainstream, such as fiber arts, experimental and conceptual art. The “Beer for Rent” fundraiser will help raise much needed cash to continue the tradition of bringing new and exciting exhibits to the community.
“Beer for Rent” will be an exciting evening featuring a silent auction for artwork from AK Gallery, Harry Bennett, Agnes Field, Gillian Hall, Roger Hayes, Brandon Hoffman, Heidie Johnson, Sally Lackaff, Mariah Manners, Christy McDonough, Roger McKay, Cathy Nist, Kristen Schauk, Jessica Schlief, Margaret Thierry and others. Art will be available in all price ranges – truly something for everyone.
There will also be a raffle for a complete set of prints from Astoria Visual Arts’ Artist Print Project. The winner gets to choose from a series of four AVA commissioned works by Chris Bryant, Becky Hart, Roger Hayes, Sally Lackaff or Noel Thomas.
