Horticulture Magazine asks, ‘What’s next?’

PORTLAND – After the heirloom flowers, after the grasses and the tropicals, what is the next wave for the plant-lover’s garden? What woody plants do you choose when you only have space for a few? What criteria might you use to narrow the vast field of choice in tender perennials and annuals?

And what on earth is going on in other plant-rich gardens around the globe? Horticulture Magazine will share insights into international trends in garden making, then ask you to take a searching look at your own garden at an Oct. 17 symposium at Portland State University.

Plant and design experts will talk about “what’s next” in the plant-lover’s garden. Speakers include Joe Eck, Starr Ockenga, Nan Sinton, Nicholas Staddon and Wayne Winterrowd. To register for “In the Plant-Lover’s Garden: WHAT’S NEXT?” go online to secure.hortmag.com/programs
