Lippert – WilcoxenRachel Ann Lippert of Birkenfeld, daughter of Byron (Ed) and Edith Lippert of Hillsboro, exchanged wedding vows with Darren Jay Wilcoxen of Birkenfeld, April 4, at Cathedral Tree – Trees of Mystery in Klamath, Calif. He is the son of Donald and Gleva Wilcoxen of Maupin.

The bride was given in marriage by her father in the morning ceremony officiated by Vicki L. Frazier. She wore a hand-crocheted, silk, champagne color, tea-length gown. She wore her paternal grandmother’s wedding band and the groom’s great-grandmother’s wedding band.
The bride married into a family of four.
The couple married in the Redwoods, which is a special place to both the bride and groom.

Maid of Honor was Sandi Herb of Durango, Colo.
Best Man was Waylon Henze of Leggett, Calif. Groomsman was Keith Border of Jewell.
The bride graduated from Hillsboro Senior High in 1979 and Portland State University with a Bachelor of Science in elementary education in 1989. She is a teacher for the Northwest Regional Education Service District. The groom is a 1978 graduate of Jewell High School and a 1990 graduate of Clatsop Community College. He is a captain in the National Response Corporation Environmental Services.
A German brunch reception was held at Rolf’s in Orick, Calif. The couple honeymooned in Oahu, Hawaii, Australia and New Zealand. They plan to live in Birkenfeld.
Another reception will be held at their home July 16 through 18. All friends and family are welcome to stop by their house that weekend to celebrate their marriage. The reception will culminate with a potluck at 1 p.m. July 18.
