SEASIDE – Ernst & Ernst Collectors Gallery presents “Sea of Glass,” the first ever art show at their year-old Seaside gallery. The exhibit will feature works by Glass Temple artists Jeffrey and Heather Thompson from Friday, July 2 through Sunday, July 18. The Thompsons will attend the show opening Friday and a reception at 7 p.m. Saturday, July 3. Owner Don Seybold said their eye-catching work is a vibrant addition to the gallery, located at 15 Broadway.

The “Sea of Glass” exhibit will feature a variety of glass works such as the Thompsons’ already popular sand-encrusted glass sand dollars and delicate hand-blown sea floats, along with new designs for nesting wave bowls and clear glass totem poles. The totems feature Native American-inspired etchings in the glass and sea animals perched atop the poles, and range in height from 18 inches to three feet. Seybold said the Thompsons’ work is a joy both for serious collectors of glass art as well as for tourists looking for truly one-of-a-kind beach souvenirs.

Ernst & Ernst Collectors Gallery is celebrating its 15th anniversary in Cannon Beach and its first anniversary in Seaside. The galleries feature limited edition prints, giclee canvas prints, original artwork, fine handmade jewelry and a selection of special interest books and gifts. Hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily.
