This business has been in its present location for 14 years. Prior to that it was located in downtown Astoria under the name Lovell-McCall.

Les Schwab Tire Center is open from 8 a.m. – 6 p.m., Monday through Friday and 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. Saturday. It is closed Sunday.

What is your business philosophy?

“We build the business on customer service and employee loyalty.”

What do you offer your customers?

“On the customer end we offer warranties, free flat repair and rotations and inspections. For our employees we offer competitive wages, medical benefits, retirement plans and profit sharing.”

How far does your customer base extend?

“To the Long Beach Peninsula (Wash.) and as far as Cathlamet, Wash. In the greater Astoria area we go from Jewell to Birkenfeld.”

What can you tell me about the volume your shop does?

“We do about $3.5 million in sales a year at this location.”

What is your busiest time of year?

“In winter with studded tires being put on, and in the spring when the studded tires come off.”
