WEDDINGS: Baker-Houck

Baker-HouckChristina Baker of Seaside, daughter of Terry and Jerry Kelley of Roy, Wash., and Robert Baker of Deltona, Fla., exchanged wedding vows with Jason Houck of Seaside July 19, 2003 on the beach in Cannon Beach. He is the son of Kathy Houck of Seaside and Carl Houck of Karnack, Texas.

The bride was given in marriage by Robert Baker and Terry Kelley in the afternoon ceremony officiated by Pastor Brad Lloyd of Gresham. She wore a white beach-style dress and a plain veil trimmed with white ribbon. The groom’s longtime friend, Atsushi Sato, surprised him by coming all the way from Chiba, Japan, for the wedding.

Maid of Honor was Danielle Davis of Yelm, Wash. Bridesmaids were Sarah Westmark of Yelm, Karen Macomb of Seaside and Katie Erickson of Tacoma, Wash.

Best Man was the groom’s brother, Wesley Houck of Seaside. Groomsmen were Victor Cook of Newberg and Liam Macomb and Forest Betts, both of Seaside.

The bride graduated from Bethel High School in Spanaway, Wash., in 2000 and from Ecola Bible School in 2001. She’s employed as a barista at Kirsten’s Expresso in Seaside. The groom is a 1999 graduate of Seaside High School. He graduated from Ecola Bible School in 2000 and is employed by Mike Schacher Construction in Seaside.

A reception was held at Les Shirley Park in Cannon Beach. The couple honeymooned in Maui and plan to make their home in Seaside.
