Georgia-Pacific names new Wauna mill manager

Wolff began career in WisconsinGeorgia-Pacific’s Waua paper mill has a new plant manager. Kelly Wolff took over as vice president and mill manager this month.

The mill is Clatsop County’s largest employer with more than 1,100 employees and manufactures products such as Quilted Northern bath tissues and Brawny paper towels.
Wolff has more than 27 years of experience in the paper industry. A native of Wisconsin, he started as an hourly employee with the Fort Howard Corp. at a paper mill in Green Bay.
Fort Howard later merged with the James River company, a prior owner of the Wauna mill. The combined company was acquired by Georgia-Pacific in 2000.

Wolff has worked in Georgia and Oklahoma. He comes to the Wauna mill from Georgia-Pacific’s East mill in Green Bay, where he was also vice president and mill manager.
Wolff replaces Richard Wenger, who has moved to Georgia-Pacific’s corporate office in Camas, Wash., and plans to retire this year.
