Former Seaside Methodists present musical sermon Sunday

WARRENTON – Former Seaside residents Charlie and Loraine McCarthy will be leading the 11 a.m. Sunday worship at Warrenton United Methodist Church, 679 S.W. Main Ct.
The Rev. Charlie McCarthy is a retired Methodist minister who served in Seaside from 1965 to 1968. He went on to become District Superintendent, and most recently served as minister in a McMinnville church. Loraine McCarthy co-owned Coast Hardware for 25 years and now works in the Strings of Compassion program at Sacred Heart Medical Center in Eugene. Strings of Compassion is a ministry to the dying using harp and voice, in the hospital and through Hospice.
The McCarthys will present the sermon together in three parts, with Loraine playing harp between each spoken section.
