Isabelle Eugena Foley
Cannery worker, 71Isabelle Eugena Foley, 71, of Ocean Park, Wash., died Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2003 at Ocean Beach Hospital in Ilwaco, Wash.
Mrs. Foley was born Oct. 2, 1932 in Milwaukie to Tom and Ila Teter Holmes. She attended Milwaukie High School.
In 1952, she moved to the Long Beach (Wash.) Peninsula with her husband, Junior Robert Hunt. They later divorced. On July 11, 1987 she married Larry Foley Sr. He died in 2000.
Mrs. Foley worked for Wiegardt Brothers Inc. of Nahcotta, Wash., for more than 30 years. She also worked at the Ocean Park Cafe and at one time worked for Jessie’s Ilwaco Fish Co.
Family members said Mrs. Foley loved cats and enjoyed her work at the canneries and the friendships she made working. She was a member of the Ocean Park Eagles Lodge.
Mrs. Foley is survived by her mother, Ila Teter of Long Beach, Wash.; three sons and daughters-in-law, Rick and Robin Holmes of Ocean Park, Roger and Terri Hunt of Taylor, Mich., and Randy and Terri Hunt of Grays River, Wash.; a daughter and son-in-law, Betty Jean and Bob Cox of Ocean Park; a brother, Ronald Holmes of Ocean Park; an uncle, Don Hendrickson of Ocean Park; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. A son, Robert C. “Bob” Hunt, died earlier.
A graveside service and inurnment will be noon Wednesday in Ocean Park Cemetery.
