Experts talk about Parkinson’s disease

SEASIDE – Parkinson’s Resources of Oregon will present, “Understanding Parkinson’s Disease,” a talk for patients, caregivers and community members, from 10 a.m. to noon Thursday at Providence Seaside Hospital, 725 S. Wahanna Road.

Holly Chaimov, executive director of PRO, and Gloria Obuchowski, program coordinator, will speak on the basics of Parkinson’s disease. Topics will include diagnosis, symptoms and treatment, exploring ways patients learn to cope with the disease and how friends and family can help. The discussion will include caregiver issues and community resources.
