Silver Salmon GrilleJeff and Laurie Martin, owners of the Silver Salmon Grille in downtown Astoria, have hooked plenty of satisfied customers during their two years in business. Now they’ve widened their net to catch even more diners with superior service – before they ever set foot in the restaurant.

The eatery’s Web site, created by Kim Nice of www.freshairtoday.com, has barely been up three months, but Jeff Martin said probably two to three customers a week mention the site. Lunch and dinner menus are posted, as are wines and desserts, plus pages for planning banquets or catered events. Web site visitors can also read about the building’s history and upcoming events.

Martin said that the current design “took a lot to build,” with all the information it contains, so he doesn’t plan to make any major changes soon. He does like Nice’s format, though, which allows him to go in and make updates to menus as needed.
