Robert Lee Shadd

Police officer, 40Robert Lee Shadd, 40, of Astoria, died Thursday, March 20, 2003, at his home.

Mr. Shadd was born Jan. 5, 1963, in San Rafael, Calif., to Lee and Joann Shadd. His parents survive, residing in Waldron, Ark.

On March 13, 1982, he married Cindy Yvonne Gilleylen. She survives, residing in Astoria.

Mr. Shadd graduated from Waldron High School in 1981. He served in the U.S. Air Force as a law enforcement specialist from December 1981 to August 1992. He had worked as a Seaside law enforcement officer since December 1993. He enjoyed skiing, sailing and the ocean.

In addition to his parents and wife, he is survived by a daughter, Sierra Whitney Shadd of Astoria; a son, Dawson Yukon Shadd of Astoria; a sister, LeeAnn Brannon of Burke, Va.; and a brother, Scott Alan Shadd of Tulsa, Okla.

Funeral is 2 p.m. Tuesday at Seaside Christian Church, 88786 Dellmoor Loop, in Warrenton.
