Tired of browsing hokey homemade Web sites? Do animated icons, rainbow text and tiled backgrounds make your eyes cross and your blood boil? Surf on over to the pages for Astoria’s Hotel Elliott and let your vision relax and your circulation cool.
The site employs a design scheme as professional and elegant as the property it features. Co-owner Susan Trabucco contributed to the layout of the pages’ content, and Northwest Web design company Pacifica Internet Technologies created programs that give her complete control over the site’s text. “I can go in and add events, change the number of rooms, change the opening date – which we’ve had to do a few times!” she said.
Visitors to the site can view interior photos of the hotel facilities and find information on other local attractions. Trabucco plans to add an online reservation system and said she’d like to work with recent Web Watch profilee MapBureau.com to add an interactive map of downtown Astoria to the site.
