Forfeits help AHS in defeat of Ilwaco

ILWACO, Wash. – Astoria picked up 30 points’ worth of forfeit victories Tuesday night, leading to a 54-14 dual meet wrestling win at Ilwaco.

Astoria had forfeit wins at 112, 125, 135, 140 and 171. There were two double forfeits.

On the mat, Astoria won four of seven matches, with pins by Dan Lilley at 152, Kent Russell at 160, Jeff Crowley at 215 and Bert Tucker at 275.

Ilwaco picked up wins from Jerry Matzen at 119 – a 9-2 decision over Joven Rasgo.
