Olney PTA expects big turnout

Olney School’s Parent Teacher Association is expecting at least 150 people for a community “New Beginning” barbecue and potluck at 6 p.m. Friday at the Olney Grange, next the school on Oregon Highway 202.

The PTA will provide hamburgers, hot dogs and drinks. Community members are encouraged to bring dishes for the potluck.

The PTA will set up a table where people can display photographs and memories of the school, which was closed because of budget constraints this year.
