William and Carol Farmer of Warrenton announce the engagement of their daughter, Tamara S. Farmer of San Luis Obispo, Calif., to James A. Aiken of San Luis Obispo. He is the son of James and Dawn Aiken of San Luis Obispo.

The bride-to-be graduated from Warrenton High School in 1988 and attended San Jose Bible College.

An Oct. 12 wedding is planned.
