More than 20 churches in Clatsop County are working on the Clatsop County Christ Celebration, 4 to 5:30 p.m. Sept. 29 at the Clatsop County Fairgrounds.
Highlights of the event include an hour of worship and performances by a countywide gospel choir.
Featured speaker is Darrell Scott, father of one of the Columbine (Colo.) High School shooting victims, sharing his message about turning tragedy into triumph. Organizers say the event is designed to display unity to the world.
Nursery care for children younger than 4 is provided by Coryell’s Crossing, and a special program is available for children ages 5 to 10. There is no charge for the event.
A CCCC youth service for middle and high school students is offered from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Sept. 28 at North Coast Family Fellowship, 2351 N. Wahanna Road in Seaside.
