Blues bands converge on North Coast

HAMMOND – The Fourth annual Blues by the Sea Music Festival will be held Friday, Sept. 20 and Saturday, Sept. 21 at Kampgrounds of America, 1100 NE Ridge Road in Hammond.
Performers include The Duffy Bishop Band, Too Slim and the Tail Draggers, The Robbie Laws Band, Junkyard Jane, J.R. Sims and Texas Special, Ty Cobb and The Jukes, Stinger, Sistershake and The Hudson Rocket Band.
Bands will play at both the Red Lion and at KOA and shuttles will bus festival participants between the venues. Two bands will play until 10 p.m. Friday evening and the other seven will play from noon to 10 p.m. Saturday.
Admission is $12 for both children and adults and includes shuttle transportation.
